The Designer From a young age, Caroline Jane Smith had a passion for all things creative. She was constantly singing, drawing, dancing, writing, painting, and sketching. During her high school years, she loved to mix and match garments and accessories to stand out from the crowd. In college, this creative mindset led her to Theatre Sewanee, where she became involved in the University of the South's costume design department. Upon graduation from Sewanee, Caroline followed her dreams to the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York City to pursue a degree in Fashion Studies. Upon graduation from Parsons, Caroline moved to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. She began to create garments for friends and family, and produced costumes for the local theatre company. In 2009, she launched her first collection under her newly founded label, Janie G. Couture. Caroline's creations of cocktail and resort dresses are timeless, classic, and chic with a trend-setting twist that any woman can find both relatable and wearable.
